The USD/JPY sharply rose, but later fell
The USD/JPY traded higher on Friday and closed the day in the positive territory around 146.15. Today it rose sharply, but later fell, falling to 145.85. On the hourly chart, USD/JPY is still trading above the MA (200) H1 moving average line (145.05). On the four-hour chart, the pair is still below the MA 200 H4 line. Based on the above, it is probably worth sticking to the southern direction in trading and while the pair remains below the MA 200 H1, it may be necessary to look for entry points to sell at the end of the correction.
- Resistance levels are at: 146.60, 146.90, 147.35
- Support levels are at: 145.30, 144.65, 144.45
Probably, the main scenario is the resumption of the downward movement to 145.30 (low of the American session on Aug 30).
The alternative scenario suggests consolidation above MA 200 H1, with subsequent growth to 147.35 (Aug 20 high).
