The EUR / USD pair has fallen sharply and is testing the MA (200) H1

Today, the EUR / USD pair fell sharply from $1.2340 to $1.2245, retreating from the new highs of April 2018 reached yesterday. On the hourly chart, the pair is testing the moving average line MA (200) H1 ($1.2260), but on the four-hour chart it remains well above MA (200) H4 ($1.2117). In this situation, it is probably worth sticking to the northern direction in trading and, at the end of the correction, look for exit points to buy.

Support levels are: $1.2245, $1.2215, $1.2175

The main scenario for promoting the pair  - breakout of the resistance of $1.2310 (December 30-31 and January 1 high) and may be an increase to $1.2350 (high of April 20’ 2018 and January 6 high)

An alternative scenario - breakout of the session low of $1.2245 and may be a decline to $1.2215 (December 31 low)
